Hi, Im a web designer for our unit's team site (SharePoint 2003). Before, I was able to modify the home page using the "modify shared page" link located on the upper-right corner but now, I only see "modify my page" option. I tried going to Site Settings --> Customize Home Page and it opened the home page in shared view but when I click the "modify shared page", it only gave me 2 options: Shared View and Personal View. I dont have the option to design the shared page. Has anyone encountered this and can share the solution? I elevated this to our SP admin but she doesnt seem to know why I can't modify the shared page. Thank you, Azu

I would have to see the permissions with my own eyes. That's the most logical answer. There's no other reason for that functionality to disappear. Hi everyone, I spoke with our SP admin. I asked her to check if I have permission to edit the home page, but all she could say was that I'm classified as a 'web designer' so she doesnt know why I cannot modify a shared page. I've been doing some research online and I read few posts regarding similar situation. Our IT just upgraded our IE from IE6 to IE7 and since then, our SP home page (SP2003) does not display the "Modify Shared Page" menu. I only see the "Modify my Page". Does anyone know if IE7 was really the cause? If so, is there any fix? Thank you, Azu
